Hi, I’m Matt.
I’m interested in how design and media can help us learn, and how learning gives us a sense of connection, confidence, and hope.
A bit about mE.
After studying mechanical engineering in college and working briefly in product design, I followed my heart to video production and motion graphics. For the past four years, I’ve been working for an engineering software company, where I design motion graphics and produce, direct, film, and edit live action videos about technology. In my free time, I make 2D and 3D graphics for educators at universities and nonprofits, and I’m constantly learning new tools – from pen and ink drawing to Blender for 3D animation and Three.js for interactive games.
My most recent projects include an interactive language learning lesson, an animation to explain passive solar heating, a web tool to help people learn basic photography terms, and a short film for a nonprofit in Greece.
If you like to learn, we’ll get along. In my free time, I’m taking classes about game design or in a coffee shop, drawing or writing in the margin of a book. I currently live in Munich.
These are some of things that guide and inspire me.
